How Daily Devotionals Transformed My Faith: My Favorite Picks to Help You Grow Closer to God

Devotionals have truly transformed my relationship with scripture. When I wasn’t sure where to start, they provided a simple yet powerful guide that helped me dive deeper into God’s Word. One of the things I love most about devotionals is that there are so many different types and topics! Whether you're looking for something specific to a season of life, a particular book of the Bible, or a theme like parenting, children, or patience, there’s a devotional out there to meet that need.

Here are 5 devotionals that I have done recently:

• 31 Days of Prayer for My Children- Daily Grace Co This devotional is one of my all time favorites. I obviously pray for my children, but admittedly sometimes I didn't know what exactly TO pray. If they weren't having an issue at school or with a friend... I can thank God for their health and trusting me with them, but I wanted more! This did that for me!

• Satisfied: A 60-Day Devotional- Daily Grace Co In a world where we tend to compare our own lives with those around us which leads to wanting more Earthly things (atleast I know I'M guilty of that!)- this was a great one to help stay grounded and thankful. It really put things into perspective for me.

• 60 Day Enneagram Devotional- Found here. There's one for every number! This one is SO good! At the time of writing this, this is the devotional that I'm currently using! I am learning so much about being an Enneagram 3- It highlights the gifts God has given Enneagrams as well as discussing areas that we may tend to sin! It's amazing how accurate the Enneagram test is and this devotional feels like it was written by someone who knows me personally!

• Jesus Calling: Devotions for Every Day of the Year- Found here. This is devotional is beautifully written as if each day Jesus is talking directly to you. It's less than $10 and has 365 devotions inside!

• The Gospel Changes Everything: a 365 day devotional- Found here. Clearly I love Daily Grace Co.! Another devotional that will last you the entire year! This one however is not dated, meaning you can pick it up and start at the beginning- at any time! In true Daily Grace Co. fashion- it's absolutely beautiful!

• She Reads Truth (Website and App): Known for their beautifully designed devotionals and community, She Reads Truth offers both free and paid content that walks you through different books of the Bible, making it accessible to everyone.

• The Bible Recap (App and Podcast): A great option if you’re looking to read the Bible chronologically. Each day includes a brief, encouraging recap that makes understanding scripture more approachable.

These apps and websites have been life-changing for me because they keep God's Word at my fingertips. Whether you’re waiting in line or starting your morning, these tools can keep you grounded in scripture.
